I appreciate his honesty. I think it's tragic that we would be able to describe it as walking away from "the faith" rather than walking away from a person. The impression I got from Michael Spencer's reflections was that there has been a culture built around Christian teachings that a person could be immersed in for years without ever knowing the person of Christ. Sometimes I wonder about the testimony I left with others before I had that revelation
